Now that the new year is well underway what are your goals and resolutions for 2013? I’ve always believed that it is very crucial to take care of yourself and the new year is the best place to start.

How well did you take care of yourself last year? As busy mommies we typically forget about the most crucial person; ourselves. We spend our time taking care of other people first. each day we change diapers, cook meals, play taxi motorist for our kids, do housework, and take care of our husband’s needs. It’s no wonder we barely spend a few minutes a day for ourselves.

I am challenging all of our readers to set aside some time each day in 2013 to take care of YOURSELF. below are a few ideas to get you started.

What are your self improvement goals?

If your resolution for 2013 is to lose weight then try this:

Take 10 minutes out of each day to work out or do some kind of physical activity. eat a lot more salads and stay away from packaged foods. If anxiety is causing you to eat a lot more typically what can you do to eliminate that stress?

If your resolution for 2013 is to save a lot more money and pay off your debt then try this:

Create a budget and stick with it. find out exactly how much money you and your spouse are making. Make sure your expenses are less than your household income. If they are not where can you cut? What can you live without?

If your resolution for 2013 is to spend a lot more time with family and pals then try this:

Who have you lost touch with recently? Do you have current phone numbers and contact information for those people? spend one day a week connecting with those that you lost touch with either by phone, e mail or facebook. If you think you need to spend a lot more time with your children set up special mommy-child days where you do a special thing with just one child at a time. Make sure you go on dates with your husband. schedule those dates.

This year my resolution is to take better care of myself. I am going to work out at least five days a week, make sure all my personal needs are taken care of and unwind each week with a great bath. What are your new year’s resolutions? have you been sticking with those goals?
